Bishkek, June 23, 2021 . / Kabar / . Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev received on Tuesday new Ambassador of Croatia to Kyrgyzstan Refik Shabanovic.
The newly appointed ambassador presented copies of credentials to the Kyrgyz minister, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan said.
Kazakbaev congratulated the Croatian ambassador on the beginning of his diplomatic mission in Kyrgyzstan, and expressed hope for his active work to develop comprehensive relations between Bishkek and Zagreb.
In the course of the meeting, the sides discussed a number of current issues of the state and prospects for bilateral cooperation between the countries, and exchanged views on planned activities.
In particular, the minister and the ambassador confirmed the terms of the first political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Kyrgyzstan and Croatia at the level of deputy foreign ministers.
Besides, the Croatian side was asked to accelerate consideration of previously sent drafts of model bilateral agreements in the field of environmental protection, culture, sports, education and health.
As part of an agreements between foreign ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Croatia met during the Antalya Forum on June 18-20, 2021, the Kyrgyz side requested assistance in providing coronavirus vaccines to the republic.
