Bishkek, April 29 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev signed the decree to declare April 30, 2017 a day of mourning in the Kyrgyz Republic, the press service of the President reported.
“A landslide in Ayu village of Uzgen region in Osh oblast on April 29, 2017 resulted in human casualties. The tragedy claimed the lives of our citizens. For the people of Kyrgyzstan, this is a heavy loss. State bodies of Kyrgyzstan carry out rescue work to find victims and bodies of the deceased, measures are being taken to provide support to their relatives and friends. Deeply mourning over the dead and expressing condolences to their relatives and friends, it is decided to declare April 30, 2017 the day of mourning in Kyrgyzstan,” the decree said.
On the day of mourning the national flags of the Kyrgyz Republic will be lowered throughout the country and on the buildings of diplomatic and consular missions abroad.
TV and radio companies are recommended to cancel entertainment programs on the day of mourning.
