Bishkek, Aug. 12, 2021 . / Kabar / . 1,467 additional beds have been deployed across Kyrgyzstan due to the third outbreak of COVID-19 coronavirus infection, including 802 in Bishkek and 165 in Osh, First Deputy Chairwoman of the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund (MHIF) under the Ministry of Health and Social Development Klara Oskombayeva said during a briefing Thursday.
She added another outbreak of disease was registered in June and July.
"Thus, 18 thousand 408 citizens with COVID-19 were hospitalized in two months, which is two times more than in March and April (8 thousand 349)," Oskombayeva said.
The deputy chairwoman also noted that in July alone Bishkek ambulance crews made 3,384 visits to citizens suspected of COVID-19, which is 25% more than in June.
