Bishkek, Aug. 7, 2020. /Kabar/. An algorithm has been developed for import of medical devices and equipment into the territory of Kyrgyzstan by individuals and legal entities as a grant assistance to health-care facilities and the population, the press service of the Kyrgyz Government reported Friday.

The Ministry of Economy together with the Ministry of Health, State Customs Service and State Tax Service has developed a step-by-step algorithm for registration of medical devices and equipment, imported into the territory of Kyrgyzstan, both from the territories of third countries and from the territories of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states.

The mentioned algorithm provides for import of medical devices and equipment (ventilators, pulse oximeters, oxygen concentrators, personal protective equipment) under a special customs procedure in accordance with Article 253 of the EAEU Customs Code. Thus, the said medical devices and equipment will not be subject to duties and value added taxes.

The algorithm for the import of medical goods by legal entities and individuals into the territory of Kyrgyzstan, aimed at providing grant aid, will operate during the period of the emergency regime.
