Kyrgyzstan develops algorithm to ensure sanitary safety during election period

Bishkek, Dec. 22, 2020 / Kabar /. The Ministry of Health and the Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan have developed a special algorithm for the elections, head of the public health care department of the country's Health Ministry Ainura Akmatova told during a briefing.

She said that the algorithm is intended for government agencies, local authorities and election commissions, it includes items on the organization of electoral processes, work with voters, sanitary and epidemiological rules on election day have been clarified.

The early presidential elections and referendum will be held on Jan. 10, 2021.

To-date the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Kyrgyzstan reached 79,429 with 175 new cases registered across the country in the past 24 hours.

So far, a total of 73,300 have recovered and 1,335 people have died of the disease in the country.
