Kyrgyzstan does 32 mln vaccinations of animals annually

Bishkek, Oct.29, 2019. /Kabar/. Annually 32 million vaccinations are done in Kyrgyzstan, Director of the State Inspection on Veterinary and Phytosnaitary Security Kalysbek Zhumakanov told during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.

According to the director, the Inspection currently receives full funding from the government.

“We get enough money to work in the laboratories. We provide our farmers with the necessary vaccine. By the way, now the autumn vaccination is carried out in accordance with the schedule. Thus, 32 million vaccinations are done annually. There is important to understand that this is not the number of animals, but the number of times, because some animals have to be vaccinated three or more times,” he said.

Approximately 1.5 thousand veterinarians and their assistants are engaged in vaccination.

The director noted the rule of vaccination also applies to pets, including dogs.
