Kyrgyzstan doubles carrot exports in recent years

Bishkek, Nov. 4, 2024 . / Kabar / . Carrot exports have doubled in recent years, the Agriculture Ministry of Kyrgyzstan said.

Thus, carrot production has increased to 30,000 tons over the past four years.

"For example, if four years ago carrot production was 155,000 tons, now it is about 185,000 tons. Due to the fact that carrots grown in Kyrgyzstan are pure, organically grown and only organic fertilizers are used, their exports are also increasing year by year. If 17 thousand tons of carrots were exported in 2019, now its volume exceeds 30 thousand tons," the report says.
