Bishkek, Dec.9, 2024. /Kabar/. Members of the Kyrgyz national boxing team won 2 bronze medals at the ASBC Asian Elite Men and Women Boxing Championships in Chiang Mai, Thailand, the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Ministry of Culture of Kyrgyzstan said.
National boxers Ryspek Bektenov, competing in the weight category up to 60 kg and Mirzokhid Imamnazarov (63.5) took 3rd place.
210 boxers from 21 countries took part in the Asian Championships, 13 sets of medals among men and 12 among women were played.
Kyrgyzstan participated in the competition under the leadership of head coach Daniyar Tologon uulu and senior coach Akyikat Abayev.
