Kyrgyzstan earns first ever gold of Junior World Boxing

Bishkek, Dec. 4, 2023 . / Kabar / . For the first time in history of the country, Kyrgyzstan's Amantur Jumaev became the world junior boxing champion, the National Boxing Federation said.

The world championship was held in the Armenian capital, Yerevan. Competing in the weight category up to 52 kilograms, the national boxer won by a split decision of judges (4:1) Ibrohim Giyosov from Uzbekistan.

At the stage 1\8 of the final, he defeated with a clear advantage German Daniel Diesendorf, who was competing under the IBA flag. In the quarterfinals, the Kyrgyzstani defeated Maxim Chaplygin of Russia (4:1).

In the fight for the final, he defeated Oskar Grodzicki from Poland and reached the final of the tournament.

In the decisive fight for the 1st place and the title of World Champion Amantur Jumaev did not give the ring master Aren Haratyan from Armenia a single chance and won by unanimous decision of the judges.

Thus, Jumaev became the first junior world champion in the history of Kyrgyzstan in boxing.
