Bishkek, May 19, 2022. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan is among the top three places where Russians plan to go for vacation in summer, according to a survey conducted by the travel service OneTwoTrip.
The online service experts analyzed user booking data for June, July and August and found that this year the majority (89 percent) of them will go on trips around Russia.
18 percent of independent tourists plan to visit Moscow, Sochi - 16 percent, St. Petersburg - 11 percent. The top five most popular destinations are Simferopol, where seven percent of travelers want to go, and Kaliningrad, which is chosen by 4.5 percent.
Among foreign countries, Armenia is in the greatest demand - 19 percent of tickets were bought to there. 16 percent of tourists intend to go to Turkey, 14.5 percent to Kyrgyzstan. The top five most demanded are Kazakhstan and Greece, but the share of those who paid for the flight there is less than four percent.
Experts note that this year the demand for trips to Sochi and Kaliningrad has increased by 35 and 40 percent, while interest in the two capitals has decreased by ten percent.
