Kyrgyzstan establishes commission to study distribution of aid received during pandemic

Bishkek, Dec. 17, 2020. /Kabar/. An interdepartmental commission has been established to study the distribution of aid arrived in Kyrgyzstan during the pandemic of COVID-19 coronavirus infection, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Elvira Surabaldiyeva said at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh.

She noted the commission consists of 30 people, including two deputies.

"Within 10 days, they will work on the issue of receipt of aid to Kyrgyzstan, starting with the first wave of coronavirus," Surabaldiyeva added.

As of Dec. 4, 2020 Kyrgyzstan has received funds for combating COVID-19 and its consequences from its international partners such as IMF, ADB, USAID, World Bank, European Union, KfW, etc. The aid was arriving also from a number of countries, as well as from compatriots residing abroad.
