Bishkek, Dec. 8, 2022. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan has established diplomatic relations with the Kingdom of Tonga, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
A joint communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations was signed yesterday by Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN Aida Kasymalieva and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Tonga to the UN William Vainga Tone in New York City.
The text of the Joint Communiqué notes that the parties have established diplomatic relations guided by the principles and objectives of the UN Charter and international law, in particular, respect and strengthening of international peace and security, equality between states, due respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state, independence, observance of international treaties and non-intervention in the internal affairs of states.
After the signing ceremony of the Joint Communiqué, the parties expressed their mutual intention to develop relations of friendship and cooperation between states within the framework of the UN and other international organizations, as well as support each other's candidatures for international bodies through the UN.
