Bishkek, Oct. 30, 2018. /Kabar/. During his working visit to Japan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Chingiz Aidarbekov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federated States of Micronesia to Japan John Fritz signed a joint communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Federated States of Micronesia. The signing took place on October 30, 2018 in Tokyo, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The text of the Joint Communiqué notes that the parties established diplomatic relations, guided by the principles and objectives of the UN Charter and international law, in particular, respect and strengthening international peace and security, equality between states, proper respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity, independence, adherence to international treaties and non-interference in the internal affairs of states.
After the signing ceremony of the Joint Communiqué, the parties expressed a mutual intention to develop relations of friendship and cooperation between the states within the framework of the UN and other international organizations, as well as between Embassies accredited in Japan.
