Kyrgyzstan establishes Scientific Advisory Expert Council on COVID-19

Bishkek, Apr.6, 2020./Kabar/.The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan established a Scientific Advisory Expert Council (SAEC), the press service of the ministry said Monday.

The Council has been created in order to provide scientific and analytical, advisory and methodological assistance to prevent further spread of COVID-19 and improve the quality of medical care.

The SAEC includes leading scientists and chief specialists in profile areas to conduct scientific reviews and search for effective methods and recommendations for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of COVID-19.

This will enable timely provision of useful recommendations to the Health Ministry on improving COVID-19 control.

The priorities of the Council are:

- Organization of daily tele- and video consultations of patients with COVID-19 coronavirus infection;

- Organization of teleconferences and videoconferences to discuss new recommendations and experience of other countries with participation of leading physicians from China, Italy, Switzerland and Russia, which are international members of SAEC;

- Daily scientific review of the latest achievements and scientific data on COVID-19.

As of Apr.6, Kyrgyzstan has 216 confirmed cases of novel coronavirus.

4 deaths were registered in the republic.
