Bishkek, May 14, 2021 . / Kabar /. The Ministry of Economy and Finance of Kyrgyzstan hosted a meeting of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet - Minister of Economy and Finance Ulukbek Karmyshakov with Deputy Chairman of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) Amangeldy Isenov.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Government reported that bilateral cooperation issues were discussed in the course of the meeting.
Ulukbek Karmyshakov and Amangeldy Isenov considered topical issues regarding budget support from the EDB, support for the health sector in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the possibility of providing concessional funds for the development of the private sector in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The EDB noted possible proposed projects to modernize the runway at Manas International Airport, to purchase two locomotives by the Kyrgyz Temir Jolu State Enterprise and to develop cooperation with the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund.
Besides, the sides discussed the issue of the Digital Initiatives Fund, the purpose of which is to assist EDB member states in developing tools and practices of digital transformation of the Bank's member states, including by integrating their information resources and participating in the development and financing of projects implemented within the Main Directions of the Digital Agenda of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed gratitude for the opportunity to meet and their hope for further fruitful development of bilateral relations.
