Kyrgyzstan evacuates its 24 nationals from Afghanistan

Bishkek, Aug. 19, 2021. / Kabar / . 24 citizens of Kyrgyzstan were evacuated from Afghanistan, the press service of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

According to the order of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov, the Foreign Ministry of the republic in cooperation with the Kyrgyz Embassy in Afghanistan currently continues to work to organize the evacuation of Kyrgyzstanis temporarily staying on the territory of Afghanistan.

As of Aug. 19, a total of 24 citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic have been evacuated from Afghanistan.

In addition, earlier the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Afghanistan assisted in evacuating 9 compatriots to the State of Qatar from Kabul on a special flight organized by the American side.

At present, the issue of the route of their return to Kyrgyzstan is being worked out.

Remaining citizens of Kyrgyzstan on the territory of Afghanistan are safe, the employees of the Foreign Ministry and the Embassy have established continuous telephone communication with them, currently various routes of their evacuation are being considered.
