Kyrgyzstan evacuates its nationals from UAE over coronavirus pandemic

Bishkek, June 11, 2020. /Kabar/. Plane of Fly Dubai airline from the United Arab Emirates with 187 Kyrgyz citizens, including young children on board, has arrived in Kyrgyzstan on Thursday, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.

"This flight was performed in implementation of agreements, reached with the Emirati side in pursuance of the instruction of President and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic as part of the ongoing work on the return of Kyrgyz citizens, located in foreign countries because of temporary closure of borders and the suspension of international passenger air traffic due to the spread of coronavirus pandemic in the world," the report says.

Before departure, all passengers have passed rapid tests for coronavirus infection at the airport, which showed a negative result.

All those who arrived are placed under surveillance (observation) to undergo appropriate medical procedures in accordance with the established procedure.

Work to find possible routes for returning citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, located in foreign countries for subsequent organization of their export, including in cooperation with partner countries, is ongoing.
