Bishkek, May 11, 2021. / Kabar /. Heavy rains on Tuesday night caused mudflows in Kara-Kulzha region of Kyrgyzstan’s Osh Oblast, which also flooded 57-60 km of Myrzake - Kara-Kulzha - Alaikuu road.
According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Emergency Ministry, the road was cleared, the traffic was restored.
In addition, mudflows occurred on Tuesday from 5:00 a.m. to 5:20 a.m. in several villages of Kara-Kulzha region, causing temporarily close of the 10-17-20 km of Myrzake-Kara-Kulzha-Alaiku road, after clearing the road traffic was resumed.
A total of 9 units of special equipment and two ambulances were involved.
More than 200 people from 50 households were evacuated from Sary-Bulak village to the nearest secondary school and to relatives. No casualties were reported.
