Bishkek, July 9, 2020 / Kabar /. About 200 emergency physicians in Kyrgyzstan are under observation, due to which there is a shortage of doctors, head of public health care department of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Ainura Akmatova told a news briefing.
She said that today there are a lot of messages on social networks that there is a shortage of doctors, resuscitators in particular.
“The fact is that about 200 emergency physicians are under observation due to coronavirus,” she said.
Akmatova noted that those who are on labor leave and also those who were on vacation without pay are withdrawn.
“Earlier, the prime minister said that social mobilization is ongoing,” she added.
To date, 361 new COVID-19 cases have been registered in Kyrgyzstan on Thursday, bringing the total confirmed cases in the country to 8,847.
The total number of contracted medical workers is 1,370, 532 of them have recovered.
