Kyrgyzstan exported about 22 thsd tons of apricot since beginning of year

Bishkek, Dec.5, 2024. /Kabar/. In the first 10 months of 2024, Kyrgyzstan exported about 22 thousand tons of apricots.

The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the country reported that Kyrgyz apricots were mainly exported to Russia - 17 thousand 50 tons, to Kazakhstan - 5 thousand 476 tons, and to Belarus 105.1 tons.

In general, the republic's plantings in fruit-bearing age amounted to 12.7 thousand hectares, most of which are in the Batken and Issyk-Kul Oblasts.

Apricots from Kyrgyzstan differ from other apricots, first of all, in their taste and aroma. They have a richer and sweeter taste, due to the peculiarities of the climate, relief and soil on which they are grown. In addition, they have a larger size and juicy pulp.

They are grown in an environmentally friendly organic way, without the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, which also affects their quality and taste of the product.
