Kyrgyzstan extends ban on export of catalytic converters

Bishkek, Dec. 13, 2021 . / Kabar / . Kyrgyzstan has extended a temporary ban on the export of catalysts until March 13, 2022.

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov signed a decree amending the decree "On introducing a ban on the export of used catalysts, slag, ash, and precious metal residues contained in catalysts from the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic”, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic reported

According to the document, in order to improve the system of non-tariff regulation, the Cabinet of Ministers decides:

- to establish a temporary ban until March 13, 2022 on the export (export) from the territory of Kyrgyzstan of used catalysts, deposited on carriers containing metals, in spent catalysts suitable only for metal extraction or for the production of chemical reagents

- the State Customs Service under the Ministry of Finance and the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the are instructed:

- to exercise control, guided by both the name of the goods and the Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activities;

- to take the necessary measures to prevent the illegal export of goods referred to in paragraph’

This decree shall enter into force fifteen days after the date of its official publication.
