Bishkek, Jan. 27, 2022 . / Kabar /. In Kyrgyzstan, the warranty period for construction and repair of roads has been extended to 3 years, spokesperson of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the country Kylychbek Dosumbetov told a briefing on Thursday.
If before the warranty period was 1 year, now it is 3 years. During this period, contractor who constructed or repaired the road in the Kyrgyz Republic is obliged to eliminate defects during the first 3 years at his own expense.
"Recently, the relevant standards have been introduced. If road was built with defects of poor quality, a contractor is obliged to eliminate them at his own expense," Dosumbetov said.
The spokesperson of the Transport Ministry added that it is requirement of the Jogorku Kenesh.
