Bishkek, July 4, 2019. /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz football team will participate in the Central Asian Football Championship (CAFA, U-16) in Tajikistan, the press service of the Football Federation reported.
This year’s first the CAFA championship will be held from 26 July to 1 August in Dushanbe and Hisor Tajik cities.
Junior teams of up to 16 years old from Tajikistan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan will complete for the title of the strongest team in the region.
The Central Asian Football Association is an association of the football playing nations in Central Asia.
In June 2014, the association was approved by the Asian Football Confederation and approved at the Extraordinary Congress in January 2015 during the 2015 AFC Asian Cup. As a result, CAFA will in the future be able to have member(s) on the AFC executive committee.
