Bishkek, July 14, 2021 . / Kabar / . Kyrgyzstan is fully provided with fuel and lubricants and there is no deficit, the press service of the State Agency for Antimonopoly Regulation of the republic said Wednesday.
In January-July 2021, the dynamics of prices for fuels and lubricants at gas stations of major oil traders shows the trend of retail prices for gasoline and diesel fuel up to 50% and 33% respectively, which is associated with an increase in wholesale prices of Russian refineries.
At present, the antimonopoly authority is working within its authority to curb the growth of prices of fuel and lubricants by conducting a survey of fuel and lubricant prices, analyzing the market situation and issuing recommendations to prevent unreasonable price increases.
On July 14, 2021 the State Agency held a meeting to discuss the situation on the market of fuel and lubricants related to price increases. The meeting was attended by heads of the Association of Oil Traders and major market players.
According to the results of the meeting, the State Agency for Antimonopoly Regulation of Kyrgyzstan has a number of requirements:
1) to strictly observe the principle of fair competition;
2) to prevent a sharp increase in prices by applying the tool of price containment and have the necessary reserves of fuel and lubricants, as well as to optimize costs.
Kyrgyzstan is fully supplied with fuel and lubricants and no shortage is observed.
