Bishkek, Nov.21, 2024. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan and Germany eased the conditions for the use of official documents in both countries.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported the Convention abolishing the requirement of legalization of foreign official documents, signed in the city of The Hague on Oct.5, 1961, entered into force between Kyrgyzstan and Germany on Oct. 7, 2024.

This became possible due to the fact that the Federal Republic of Germany withdrew its reservation (objection) and agreed to the accession of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Convention.

Application of apostille simplifies the procedure of recognition of documents issued in one of these countries in the territory of the other. Now citizens and legal entities, as well as government agencies will not need to undergo additional consular legalization procedures to use official documents in both countries.

The introduction of the apostille system will speed up administrative processes, reduce the cost of certifying documents and reduce bureaucratic barriers in various areas such as education, employment, legal and business processes.
