Bishkek, Dec. 20, 2024 . / Kabar / . By 2024, Kyrgyzstan has achieved full food security in six key products, President Sadyr Zhaparov said at the Third People's Kurultai.
"However, challenges remain to improve the efficiency of agriculture, including the introduction of breeding livestock breeding and modern irrigation systems. The state is actively working on modernization of this industry to ensure sustainable growth," the Kyrgyz leader stressed in his address to the delegates of the Kurultai.
Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized the need to radically revise approaches in animal breeding and move to breeding more productive breeds of animals.
The regular meeting of the Third People's Kurultai is taking place in Bishkek on Dec. 20-21. It is attended by 700 delegates. Of these, 640 delegates from all regions of the republic, 30 delegates from ethnic groups and 30 from labor migrants abroad.
The Kurultai is also attended by Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan Nurlanbek Shakiev, members of Parliament, the full Cabinet of Ministers, the leadership of the judicial branch, all governors, mayors of cities, and heads of regions
