Kyrgyzstan hopes for early launch of Sputnik V vaccine production in country: ambassador

Bishkek, June 7, 2021 . / Kabar / . Kyrgyzstan hopes to launch production of the Sputnik V vaccine on its territory as soon as possible, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Russia Gulnara-Klara Samat told in an interview with RIA Novosti.

"We hope for the speedy implementation of the project, which will stabilize and possibly overcome the coronavirus epidemiological situation in the republic," the ambassador said.

Gulnara-Klara Samat added that due to the difficult sanitary and epidemiological situation in the republic, the issue of vaccination of the population is important.

"Therefore, Kyrgyzstan is interested in receiving the Russian vaccine, which has successfully passed clinical trials in Russia and has already been registered in many countries of the world," she stressed.

The ambassador noted Russian-made products are traditionally trusted in Kyrgyzstan.

"In general, I think it is important to note the open and noble Russian vaccine policy, the humanitarian mission, and Russia's assistance to many countries around the world in the fight against COVID-19," she concluded.
