Bishkek, Nov. 7, 2021 / Kabar /. The opening of direct flights Budapest-Bishkek of the Hungarian airline WizzAir has been discussed in Bishkek.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Investments of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev and Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Szijjarto agreed to resolve the issue of opening direct flights in the near future.
The two ministers also discussed further cooperation in the consular sphere, the issuance of Schengen visas by the Hungarian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan to citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic intending to visit Hungary, Greece, Italy, Spain, Lithuania and the expansion of this list.
Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs of Hungary Szijjarto announced the decision of the Hungarian side to recognize vaccination certificates of citizens of Kyrgyzstan. Thus, vaccinated Kyrgyzstanis will be able to freely enter Hungary. Thus, Hungary became the first EU member state to recognize vaccination certificates of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Investments of Kyrgyzstan and Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs of Hungary is resulted in signing two documents:
1) Memorandum between the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Human Resources of Hungary on mutual understanding on cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports.
2) Memorandum of Cooperation between the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange CJSC and the Budapest Stock Exchange.
Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Peter Szijjarto visited Kyrgyzstan to participate in the First European Union – Central Asia Economic Forum, which took place on Nov. 5, 2021 in Bishkek.
Within the framework of the visit, he met with President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev, Minister of Economy and Commerce Daniar Amangeldiev.
