Kyrgyzstan, Hungary eye to cooperate in wide range of areas

Bishkek, Feb. 10, 2021. / Kabar /. Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan Kairat Imanaliyev received Hungarian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Sandor Doroga.

The press service of the Culture Ministry reported that during the conversation, the sides emphasized the importance of culture in the development of dialogue, noting the great opportunities for dissemination of knowledge about Kyrgyzstan and Hungary through mutual cultural and sports activities through museums, theaters, libraries, mass media and some sports.

The interlocutors exchanged proposals for cooperation in a wide range of areas in the field of culture, information and sports, noting the mutual interest in holding events commemorating prominent historical figures who made a significant contribution to the development of Kyrgyzstan and Hungary.

In particular, Sándor Dorogi shared that a number of significant cultural events are planned for 2021 in Kyrgyzstan, including a commemoration of Hungarian traveler György Almási, who as part of an expedition in 1900 conducted research on the territory of Kyrgyzstan.

Minister Kairat Imanaliyev supported the proposal and assured of readiness to provide all possible support from the ministry to implement the initiatives of the Hungarian side.
