Kyrgyzstan, Hungary jointly study history of two peoples

Bishkek, May 3, 2019. / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Chingiz Aidarbekov met in Budapest, Hungary on May 2 with Miklos Kasler, the Minister of Human Resources of Hungary during his two-day official visit to Hungary.

The sides discussed the state and prospects of Kyrgyz-Hungarian cooperation in scientific, educational and humanitarian spheres, especially in terms of implementation of agreements following last year's visit of Hungarian Prime Minister Orban to the Kyrgyz Republic, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.

In addition, the sides discussed the intention of the Hungarian side to open a chair of Hungorology on the basis of Osh State University, as well as to increase quota seats from 25 to 75 for students from the Kyrgyz Republic in the universities of Hungary.

The Hungarian side also proposed to intensify bilateral cooperation in the field of health care, as well as joint study of the history of the two peoples.
