Bishkek, Sept. 29, 2020. /Kabar/. As part of the official visit of Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov to Hungary, a number of documents were signed in Budapest.
According to the Kyrgyz president’s press service, President Jeenbekov and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban have signed a Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary.
The following documents aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation between the countries were also signed:
- Memorandum between the Governments of the Kyrgyz Republic and Hungary on the Kyrgyz-Hungarian Development Fund;
- Agreement between the Governments of the Kyrgyz Republic and Hungary on avoidance of double taxation;
- Agreement between the Governments of the Kyrgyz Republic and Hungary on the protection and promotion of investments;
- Protocol on Amendments and Additions to the Agreement on Education between the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs of Hungary to increase the quota seats from 75 to 150 seats;
- Memorandum between the Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary on cooperation in the field of digitalization of economy;
- Agreement between the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of National Resources of Hungary on cooperation in the field of health-care;
- Agreement between the Office of Dzhalal-Abad Oblast Governor (Kyrgyzstan) and Győr-Moson-Sopron (Hungary) on trade-economic, scientific-technical and socio-cultural cooperation;
- Agreement on cooperation in plant quarantine between the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Industry and Reclamation of Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary;
- Agreement between the Governments of the Kyrgyz Republic and Hungary on international road traffic;
- Memorandum of Understanding between the State Agency for Water Resources under the Kyrgyz Government and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Hungary on cooperation in the field of water resources management;
- Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the Ministries of Finance of Kyrgyzstan and Hungary;
- Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Hungary in the field of prevention and liquidation of emergency situations.
Also, following documents are expected to be signed during the Kyrgyz-Hungarian Business Forum in Budapest to be held as part of the President Jeenbekov’s official visit:
- Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the Investment Promotion and Protection Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency;
- Memorandum of Cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hungary;
- Memorandum on Cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan and the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov is paying official visit to Hungary.
