Bishkek, June 16, 2020 / Kabar /. According to preliminary data, 502.7 thousand tons of oil products were imported into the republic in January-May, the press service of the Association of Oil Traders said.
In total 238.5 thousand tons of gasoline, 264.1 thousand tons of diesel and 51.1 thousand tons of jet fuel were delivered.
“Oil traders fully cover the republic’s needs for fuel and lubricants, thereby realizing their main task of providing Kyrgyzstan with oil products, while avoiding any deficit,” the report said.
The organization recalled that over the past year, a total of 972.9 thousand tons of oil products were imported.
In addition, at the beginning of the year, an Agreement on cooperation between the Association and the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of the Kyrgyz Republic was signed. According to forecasts of the Ministry of Agriculture, the need for fuel and lubricants for 2020 will amount to 120.1 thousand tons, of which 93.9 thousand tons of diesel fuel and 26.2 thousand tons of gasoline.
