Kyrgyzstan imports more than 12 thousand tons of Uzbek melon this year

Bishkek, Aug. 2, 2023 / Kabar /. This year, Kyrgyzstan has imported more than 12,000 tons of melon from Uzbekistan.

According to data of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in January-June, Uzbekistan exported 79.9 thousand tons of melons worth USD 16.7 million to 11 countries of the world.

Most of all, the country exported this type of agricultural products to Kazakhstan (35.7 thousand tons), Russia (29.3 thousand tons), Kyrgyzstan (12.6 thousand tons), Belarus (1.3 thousand tons), Tajikistan (664 tons) and Mongolia (43 tons).

Over six months of this year, Uzbekistan increased the export of melons by 16.8 thousand tons compared to the corresponding period in 2022.
