Bishkek, Dec. 7, 2021 . / Kabar / . The Service for Combating Illegal Drug Trafficking of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reminds about the introduction of new codes, which came into force on Dec. 1.
The press service of the Internal Ministry reported that the Code of Offences provides for liability, according to which:
1.Calling for the use and advertising of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their precursors, as well as new potentially dangerous psychoactive substances, shall entail a fine of 175 calculation indexes for individuals and 550 calculation indexes for legal entities.
2. The same actions committed:
1) in educational institutions, as well as in mass gathering places;
2) with the use of mass media or electronic information resources - shall be punishable by a fine of 200 calculation indexes for individuals and 650 calculation indexes for legal entities.
1 calculation index is equal to KGS 100 (about USD 1.17).
This is a new article, previously there was no liability for such actions.
