Bishkek, Nov. 22, 2024. / Kabar /. The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has imposed a temporary ban on coal exports outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) for a period of six months.
The corresponding resolution was signed by Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov.
According to the document, an exception has been made for the Irkeshtam-avtodorozhny and Torugart-avtodorozhny checkpoints.
The restriction does not apply to the state enterprise Kyrgyzkomur when it exports coal by road through the specified state border checkpoints.
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has been instructed to notify the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) of the introduction of this ban within three days. The resolution comes into force 10 days after its official publication.
