Bishkek, Dec. 4, 2018. /Kabar/. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziyev held a working meeting on the issue of improving the positions of Kyrgyzstan in the Doing Business international ranking, the press service of the Government Office of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
During the meeting, Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Oleg Pankratov told that according to the World Bank report, it was possible to improve the country's position regarding certain indicators such as “Insolvency Resolution” - 82nd (+37), “International Trade” - 70th (+14), "Protection of Minority Investors" - 38th place (+13) and "Contract Enforcement " - 131st place (+8).
He added that in the aggregate, the improvement of these positions allowed Kyrgyzstan to rise in the Doing Business rating from 77 to 70th place.
At the same time, it was noted that individual ministries and departments take insufficient measures to implement the Action Plan within the Doing Business rating, and therefore the country's position on the remaining indicators remains the same or worsens.
In addition, Abylgaziyev reminded about the personal responsibility of the heads of ministries and departments of the country.
The Prime Minister instructed the state bodies to analyze the indicators of the Doing Business 2019 rating within two weeks and to make qualitative comments and proposals.
Taking them into account, it was entrusted to finalize the draft Action Plan to improve the position of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Doing Business rating and promptly submit it for consideration by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
