Bishkek, Aug. 21, 2020 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Education and Science, in accordance with the Government Decision of Aug. 20, 2020, has increased number of grants for medical specialties, Deputy Education Minister Nadira Dzhusupbekova told a news briefing.
The decision was made on execution of the order of Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov following his meeting with volunteers, where the Education Ministry of the republic was instructed to provide grants for medical specialties until Sept. 1.
Thus, the grant acceptance plan has been increased by 90 seats.
"Additional grants are allocated for further training of graduates in the residency in the following specializations: epidemiologist, infectious disease doctor, pulmonologist, virologist, intensive care worker," she said.
Besides, the deputy minister recalled that due to the epidemiological situation this year, university enrollment is carried out through the Applicant Online automated system (https://2020.edu.gov.kg/).
