Kyrgyzstan increases production of livestock and crop products: report

Bishkek, Sept. 26, 2020. /Kabar/. In January-August 2020, gross agricultural output in amounting KGS 132.3 billion was produced.

According to the report from the republic’s Economy Ministry, the real growth rate for the corresponding period of 2020 was 101.8% (for January-August 2019 - 102.1%).

The growth of gross output of agricultural products compared to the corresponding period of 2019 is mainly due to the increase in livestock production by 1.7% and plant production by 2.1%.

The contribution of agriculture to GDP formation is estimated at the level of 0.21%, the share of which in the GDP production structure made 12.9%.
