Bishkek, Jan.16, 2025. /Kabar/. An increase in the production of meat, milk, eggs and wool is observed in Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the country’s Ministry of Agriculture reported.
In 2024, meat production increased in all regions of the country. This is due to an increase in the number of farm animals.
In December 2024, economic entities of all categories produced 459.6 thousand tons of meat in live weight, which is 11582 tons or 2.6% more than the corresponding period of last year.
The growth of meat production is observed in all regions of the republic.
Milk production. In January-December 2024, economic entities of all categories produced 1823.7 thousand tons, which is 46182 tons or 2.6% more than last year.
The National Statistics Committee of the republic reported that the highest-yielding cows are raised in farms in Chui (3169.2 kg), Talas (2346.6 kg) and Issyk-Kul (2136.7 kg) Oblasts, which far exceeds the average milk yield per cow in the republic.
Egg production. For the reporting period, 790282 thousand eggs were produced across the country, which is 104543 thousand more or amounted to 115.2% of the corresponding period of last year.
Egg production increased in all regions of the republic. The growth is related to an increase in laying hens by 571.1 thousand heads and increase in average egg production of laying hens by 13 pieces of eggs compared to the corresponding period of the last year.
Wool production. As of the end of 2024, the republic produced 13157.4 tons of wool, which is 243 tons more or 101.9% compared to the corresponding period of the last year. Wool production increased in all regions of the republic due to the growth of sheep population by 37609 heads and increase of average wool shearing from one sheep by 0.3 kg compared to the corresponding period of the last year.
