Bishkek, Oct. 22, 2020. /Kabar/. Acting President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov has signed on Oct. 21 a Decree according to which Kurmankul Zulushev has been appointed Prosecutor General of the Kyrgyz Republic, the press service of the Kyrgyz president reported.
Head of the main supervisory body Otkurbek Dzhamshitov resigned on Wednesday. The Parliament accepted his resignation, and Acting President Zhaparov signed a decree to relieve Dzhamshitov of his post.
According to the legislation of the country, the president appoints prosecutor general with the consent of at least half of the total number of deputies. After approval, the head of state signs a decree on appointing.
Kurmankul Zulushev, 50, served in 2013 as deputy chairman of the Bishkek City Court. Two years later, in 2015, he was elected as MP from Respublika - Ata-Zhurt political party.
