Bishkek, June 12, 2022. / Kabar /. Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan Azamat Zhamankulov met ywith the Minister of State for External Affairs of the Republic of India concurrently the State Minister of Culture Menakshi Lekhi.
During the meeting, a conversation took place on topical issues of cooperation, the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
In particular, the sides discussed the exchange of creative delegations and tourism exhibitions and agreed to consider the possibility of holding a Bollywood festival in Kyrgyzstan.
Azamat Zhamankulov noted that culture is the main direction for strengthening friendship between peoples and developing Kyrgyz-Indian relations.
In turn, the Indian minister of state invited her Kyrgyz counterpart to the Day of Yoga, which will be held in the cities of Bishkek and Osh next week.
Zhamankulov, in response, invited India to participate in the next World Nomad Games, noting that great cooperation can be established between the countries within the framework of this project.
Following the meeting, the ministers signed the Program between the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Culture of the Government of the Republic of India on cultural exchange.
