Bishkek, Oct. 22, 2021 . / Kabar / . Within the framework of the International Police Summit taking place in Seoul, Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ulan Niyazbekov met with Luis Miguel Carrilho, United Nations Police Adviser in the Department of Peacekeeping Operations at the UN headquarters in New York.
In the course of the meeting, Niyazbekov noted that establishing close and warm relations with counterparts is a priority for the Kyrgyz Ministry of Internal Affairs, the press service of the ministry said.
During the conversation with the UN representative, Niyazbekov made a proposal to consider the possibility of increasing the quotas for employees of the Kyrgyz Internal Ministry in UN peacekeeping missions.
In turn, Luis Miguel Carrilho supported the initiative of the Kyrgyz side and expressed readiness to consider the issue.
Along with this, he stressed the Interior Ministry of Kyrgyzstan is working hard to reform the entire system of internal affairs bodies, and expressed interest in using the experience of other countries in the introduction and application of the latest technologies.
Besides, the internal affairs minister met with Secretary General of Interpol Jürgen Stock.
