Kyrgyzstan intends to launch direct flights between Bishkek and Seoul

Bishkek, Oct. 15, 2021. / Kabar / . Kyrgyzstan intends to open direct air flight on the Bishkek-Seoul route. This became know during the 4th meeting of the Intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Korean Commission on Economic Cooperation held Friday at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan.

The meeting was chaired by Minister of Economy and Commerce Daniyar Amangeldiev from the Kyrgyz side and Deputy Minister for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Korea Lee Seong-ho from the Korean side.

In connection with the inclusion of Kyrgyzstan in 2021 in the list of priority countries to receive official development assistance for the next 5 years, the need to implement joint socially significant projects in the Kyrgyz Republic was noted.

"To date, the Kyrgyz side expects the practical implementation of the issue of opening direct flight. The earliest launch of direct air service between the countries will intensify trade and economic cooperation and will make a tangible contribution to the development of the tourism industry of the two countries," the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan noted.

Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan’s Air Manas is currently working on the issue of opening direct flights between Bishkek and Seoul.

The Kyrgyz minister of economy also drew attention to the current problems associated with the entry of Kyrgyz citizens in the Republic of Korea, who have previously received employment contracts, in this regard, asked to assist in a positive resolution of this issue.
