Bishkek, Feb. 9, 2023 / Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan intends to send another 100 rescuers to the earthquake-affected areas of Turkiye. The information was confirmed by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to the ministry, the organizational work of sending is now underway.
Earlier, 67 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic were sent to the city of Kahramanmarash.
The devastating earthquake occurred on the night of February 5-6, in the south-east of Turkiye. The national mourning has been declared throughout the country until February 12 inclusive.
According to the latest data, the death toll in Turkiye amounted 12,391 people were killed and 62,914 others were injured.
