Bishkek, Aug. 24, 2020. /Kabar/. A new “Monthly allowance for children, both parents of whom are unknown” state benefit has been introduced in Kyrgyzstan, Minister of Labor and Social Development of the republic Ulukbek Kochkorov said during a press conference in the capital city of Bishkek.
According to his data, today there are 42 children in the republic, both parents of whom are unknown.
"The granting of the benefit will be made from the first day of the month following the month of application. Thus, if you apply in August, payments will come from Sep. 1," he said.
The minister noted this year's payments will require KGS 336 thousand (KGS 2,000 for each child (about $ 26), which will be made within the approved budget by strengthening targeting through the capabilities of digital technology.
"The annual requirement for payment of these benefits is about KGS 1 million," Kochkorov added.
