Kyrgyzstan introduces temporary ban on export of certain types of agricultural products

Bishkek, March 20, 2022 . / Kabar / . A temporary ban on the export of certain agricultural products from Kyrgyzstan has been introduced. The Cabinet of Ministers made a relevant decision in order to ensure food security of the country and stabilization of market prices for food products.

Thus, a temporary ban on export (except for re-export, transit, as well as humanitarian assistance provided by the Cabinet of Ministers) is established for a period of 6 months:

- certain types of agricultural goods outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union, in particular: wheat and meslin, wheat flour, vegetable oil, sunflower seeds, granulated sugar, eggs of chickens, eggs for incubation;

- certain types of agricultural goods outside the territory of Kyrgyzstan, in particular: meat of cattle (fresh or chilled, frozen), fodder (hay, straw, mixed fodder, bran and grain feed), barley, oats.
