Kyrgyzstan introduces temporary ban on import of fresh chicken eggs

Bishkek, June 10, 2024. /Kabar/. The Cabinet of Ministers introduced a temporary ban on the import of fresh chicken eggs into the territory of Kyrgyzstan.

In order to ensure the country’s food security, stabilize market prices for food products for the proper functioning of the domestic market, by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic dated June 5, 2024 No. 293, a temporary ban for a period of six months was introduced on the import of fresh chicken eggs into the Kyrgyz Republic (with the exception of re-export, transit of eggs through the Kyrgyz Republic and movement from one subject of the EAEU to another within its territory).

The resolution comes into force three days from the date of official publication.
