Kyrgyzstan, Iran discuss issues of bilateral cooperation

Bishkek, Nov.20, 2024. /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the Islamic Republic of Iran Turdakun Sydykov held a meeting with Director-General for International Peace and Security of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Asadollah Eshragh Jahromi.

In the course of the meeting, the sides discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation, positively evaluated the current level of cooperation within the framework of international and regional organizations, such as the UN, OIC, SCO, etc., and also exchanged opinions on the current situation in the Middle East, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.

Highlighting the role of peace and stability in the trade and economic development of the countries of the region, Sydykov emphasized the desire of Kyrgyzstan to contribute to the common cause of peace, regional and global security, sustainable development and social progress.

In turn, Asadollah Eshragh Jahromi, noting the difficult humanitarian situation in the Middle East, emphasized the need for the consolidation of the world community to prevent a humanitarian crisis in the region.

He also expressed readiness to strengthen cooperation between the two countries on current issues of the international and regional agenda.
