Kyrgyzstan, Iran discuss state and prospects of cooperation

Bishkek, May 6, 2019. / Kabar /. First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Nuran Niyazaliev met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif, as well as Minister of Roads and Urban Planning of Iran Mohammad Eslami, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

During the meetings, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for further expansion of Kyrgyz-Iranian cooperation in political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields, interaction within international organizations, regional security issues, as well as joint preparation and holding the 12th meeting of the joint Kyrgyz-Iranian Intergovernmental Commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian cooperation.

Niyazaliev stressed the need to create favorable conditions for the transit of goods through Iran, as well as the development of transport and transit corridors in order to expand Kyrgyzstan’s trade with the countries of the Middle East.

The sides expressed hope for the further development of bilateral relations, as well as the growth of trade, economic and investment cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
