Kyrgyzstan, Iran to open air communication in June

Bishkek, April 25 / Kabar /. The parliamentary delegation of Kyrgyzstan led by Speaker Chynybai Tursunbekov met today with Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran, co-chairman of the Kyrgyz-Iranian IPC Abbas Akhmad Akhundi, the press service of the Kyrgyz parliament reports.

At the meeting, Chynybai Tursunbekov said that currently Kyrgyz Air Manas air company, Iranian agencies and Mahan Air and Jan Air airlines conduct talks on launching a direct air service. "Kyrgyzstan's inclusion of Iran in the list of countries with a simplified visa regime and the opening of direct flights will allow businessmen of Kyrgyzstan and Iran to closely interact and attract a large number of tourists from Iran to Kyrgyzstan," he said.

The sides stressed the importance of speedy implementation of the project on construction of the railway China-Kyrgyzstan-Tajikistan-Afghanistan-Iran. Tursunbekov emphasized that the implementation of this project has an important strategic importance in the economic spectrum, both for Kyrgyzstan and Iran.

In turn, Minister Abbas Ahmad Akhundi said that the Iranian side plans to hold a meeting of all five parties to discuss the implementation of the project for the construction of the above-mentioned railway.
